PRIVA-LITE is active glass whose transparency increases when an electric voltage is applied to it. Regardless of the change of transparency, has a constant, very high light transmittance..
Between two layers of glass there is LC foil laminated between two layers of EVA or PVB foil. The LC foil is composed of two layers of PET, coated with a transparent metallic layer and laminated together with a very thin layer of liquid crystal gel.
The crystals are aligned in the same direction when treated with an electric current, depending on the glass type: PRIVA-LITE glass (CLASSIC or XL). For PRIVA-LITE CLASSIC it is the voltage of 100V alternate current (50Hz), and for PRIVA-LITE XL – 65V alternate current (50- 60Hz).
LC layer – initially opaque, it becomes transparent immediately! In its opaque form, PRIVA-LITE can be used as a projection screen.
