Modern installation of windows

The process comprises a number of materials and actions completed with a certificate of the leak-tightness of woodwork installation.

1. Multi-layer installation, i.e. in the thermo-insulation layer.

2. Appropriate elements that support the woodwork.

3. Special vapour-permeable and vapour-proof membranes or expandable tapes glued to the woodwork.

4. Preparing holes on both sides for gluing the membranes or tapes.

5. Gluing the membranes or tapes on both sides.

6. Tightness test for window installation.

7. Sealing any unsealed places.

8. Issuing a certificate of tightness (the number of air replacements per 1 h).

We propose a modern method of windows installation, which is gaining popularity in Poland. It involves installation of windows in the thermoinsulation layer with the use of vapour-proof and vapour-permeable membranes and special expandable tapes which, in effect, gives a tight and thermoinsulating joint between a window frame and window hole. This is particularly important when you consider that since 01.01.2009 there has been an obligation to obtain energy certificates for buildings; there is also a need for saving on heating costs. Probably, though more expensive, the method will become common, or even obligatory, within a few years. So, it is worth taking the opportunity now so that it does not turn out in a few years that our - still new - windows were installed by an obsolete method.

According to our estimates, a small investment - compared to the cost of construction - in modern window installation will bring you savings in the heating cost in the amount equal to the price of wooden windows within 10 years.

Probably, this is a way of making your wallet thicker rather than thinner. Use our experience and make your house passive to enjoy the comfort of life and low bills. More at KARO.
