Modern polyacrylic or polyurethane coats, adapted for protecting wood in windows are highly resistant against ageing caused by weather conditions. However, this does not mean that they do not age, but that the process is much slower than in old-type coats and is not so destructive (for example, there is no coat peeling)... More at KARO.
